(So I can keep track of what I imaged when)

A trip out to the desert and Anza borrego with some astrophotography before ad after I was photographing the Salton Sea ultramarathon race. Lost a couple of nights to clouds. Strong winds one night, but I had brought my RedCat 51 as a backup scope for widefield imaging in case the winds were too strong to use my Celestron Edge 8.

I imaged a couple of Messier star clusters
last night. Easy targets under our Bortle 8/9 skies, but a good test of tracking/guiding accuracy. I was getting star FWHM around 2.5 arc sec on stacked images, which seems pretty good for a C8 at near the maximum payload for an AM3 with counteerweight.

A few clear nights at home, but struggling to find things to image under Bortle 8/9 skies. The planetary nebulae that are accessible and that I had not previously imaged are getting very small. I tried broadband imaging of a couple of bright galaxies - which worked better than I Ihad expected, though fainter details got lost..

We are into galaxy season, so for the March new moon I took my Celestron EDGE8 HD out to dark desert skies,

Two small planetary nebulae and a very big emission nebula. Acessible targets from home under Bortle 8/9 skies now that the best narrowband targets are sinking in the wext.
