This page is a work in progress, prompted by the realization that the Evanescent Light Galleries ( the only website I know where you can freely download >10,000 full-resolution landscape images for personal use) receive around a thousand visitors per month, whereas sites dealing with camera equipment may receive many more than that in a single day. So it seems photographers are more interested in the gadgetry than in photographs...
My photographic philosophy is along the lines of 'your camera doesn't matter'. That is to say, the essence of a good picture derives from being in the right place, in the right light, and in then selecting a composition to communicate your vision of the scene. Nevertheless, the quality of the equipment does have some bearing, and the technical aspects of cameras, tripods, Photoshop etc., are fun.
