5) Ian Parker completes 6th consecutive Badwater Ultramarathon!

Ian completed his 6th consecutive Badwater Ultramarathon on July 25, 2007 with a strong time of 53:26:44, and looked better than ever at the finish line! Ian was supported by crew members Judit Pallos (2005 and 2006 Badwater finisher), his wife Anne Tournay, and friends Chris Raub, Melanie Matheu, Ian Smith, and Heather Rose.

4)Farewell to Jian Wei Shuai!

In July 2007 Jian Wei Shuai left the Parker Lab to accept a faculty position in China. He and his family will be missed and we wish them all well!

3) Ian Parker invited to compete in the 2007 Badwater Ultramarathon

Ian Parker received an invitation to compete in the 2007 Badwater Ultramarathon to be held in Death Valley this July. This gruelling 135 mile treck involves running in some of the hottest temperatures on earth, and is acknowledged as the 'world's toughest footrace'. Ian is aiming for his 6th consecutive finish; a feat so far accomplished by only 6 runners in the history of the Badwater race.
