back to >Parker Lab Archives

Since July 2002, Ian Parker has been an active competitor in the Badwater Ultramarathon race. It a race that challenges ultrarunners to complete 135 miles within three days. The trail begins at Badwater, Death Valley the lowest elevation in the United States at 282' below sea level and ends at Mt Whiteney Portals at approximately 8,300'.

Try virtually running the trail via Ian's BadwaterFlyThrough (10.7MB) movie.

In addition, to his own challenge and enjoyment, Ian ran to raise money for the Barbara K. Burgess Memorial Fund (2002, 2004, and 2005) and for the Trinity Kids Care (2003).
